Central Management, Contractors and Contributions

The release of the Auditor General's compliance audit for Central Management Services has set off a firestorm of press, and some of it centers around campaign contributions from companies cited in the audit. We've seen different contribution amounts listed in different press accounts. In the interest of uniformity, here is our count of giving since January 1, 2000 by companies named in the CMS audit:

Giving to Gov. Blagojevich:

Accenture: $1,000
BearingPoint: $28,000
EKI/Electronic Knowledge Interchange: $23,000 (including $1K to Move IL Forward)
Maximus: $25,500

Team Services: $4,000

Total: $85,000

Giving to Attorney General Madigan:

Maximus: $4,500

Total: $6,500

Note that giving by EKI includes giving by members of their advisory committee and giving by Accenture, Mesirow and Team Services includes giving by employees, directors and/or officers.
